In its latest achievement in the field of security and protection of customer information, Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) received the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Certification, which is a global industry standard. This certification aims to help protect cardholder data and avoid fraud and hacking attempts.

PIB achieved the PCI DSS Certification following an audit by Sovereign Secure, a company specialized in the field of information security and approved by the PCI Security Standards Council to validate an organization’s adherence to PCI DSS. The audit validated PIB’s adherence to procedures, policies and requirements related to security standards adopted by PIB. This confirms PIB’s commitment to strict international standards in the field of card data security. Requirements include, but are not limited to, building a secure network for devices that deal with cards, and taking solid measures for related systems, in addition to monitoring and testing networks regularly and encrypting cardholders’ data when sending their information over the Internet.
