Palestine Islamic Bank Encourages Women to Prioritize Their Health Through Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
In line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the national “Pink October” events launched by the Ministry of Health, Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) has launched a heartfelt awareness campaign titled “Get Checked Now to Stay Safe.”
The campaign aims to raise women's awareness — both within the bank and across the community — to take charge of their health by promoting regular breast cancer screenings and highlighting the importance of early detection. Breast cancer remains the most common type of cancer affecting women in Palestine and around the world, and early diagnosis can make all the difference.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, stated that this campaign aligns with the bank’s social responsibility policy, both internally and externally.
He explained that raising awareness among the bank’s female employees about breast cancer will contribute to increasing community awareness, as they are active and influential figures in their environments.
In parallel, the bank will also launch a public awareness campaign on breast cancer through its social media platforms.
Dr. Al-Sadi added: “Awareness is the foundation for combating breast cancer. All sectors and social groups must play an active role in increasing women's awareness, as early detection raises recovery rates to over 96%, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health, which offers these tests free of charge in all its directorates.”
PIB's sustainable social responsibility policy emphasizes the importance of contributing to development, playing an active role in serving the community, assisting the Palestinian people, improving their living conditions, and strengthening their resilience amid the difficult circumstances they face — in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
