The Palestine Islamic Bank and the Ministry of Finance discuss promoting cooperation
His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Omar Al-Bitar, received a delegation from the Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB), headed by Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB’s General Manager, in a visit to discuss ways and mechanisms for promoting cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Finance stressed that the Ministry was strengthening cooperation with the private sector in general and the banking sector in particular, to ensure economic growth in light of the difficult circumstances and challenges that Palestinian citizens and institutions are experiencing.
In turn, Al-Sadi said that PIB was focused on strengthening its cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and other public institutions to serve public interest and improve the services provided to citizens.
Al-Sadi also stressed PIB’s support to the Ministry of Finance’s efforts to address the difficult financial conditions and mitigate their impact. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the banking sector and the government to protect the economy and achieve the required growth rates.
The meeting was attended by the Accountant General of the Ministry of Finance, Muhammad Rabie, the Assistant General Manager for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Rami Taha, and the Director of the Finance Control and Follow-up Department, Zuhair Al-Bazour.
