Palestine Islamic Bank and Tamkeen Insurance discuss promoting cooperation
The General Manager of the Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB), Dr. Imad Al-Sadi and the General Manager of Tamkeen Insurance, Muhammad Al-Rimawi, discussed ways to promote cooperation during a meeting at the headquarters of Tamkeen in Ramallah.
During the meeting, Al-Sadi stressed the importance that PIB attaches to strengthening cooperation with various Islamic finance institutions in Palestine to develop this sector by ensuring role complementarity and experience exchange. This will help in developing Islamic financial services for the public and meeting their constantly changing needs and aspirations.
Al-Sadi commended the excellent development of the Islamic insurance sector in Palestine and the innovative insurance services and solutions it provides, which, along with Islamic banking, demonstrate the importance of Islamic finance in Palestine and its great expansion and development prospects in the coming years. He pointed at the same time to the need for strengthening cooperation to educate the public about Islamic financial services and the difference between them and traditional financial services.
For his part, Al-Rimawi welcomed the visit of the General Manager of PIB and the accompanying delegation. He stressed the importance of the strategic relationship between the two institutions, which started since the founding of Tamkeen Insurance in 2018. The two institutions are partners in their Islamic vision of banking and insurance and are united by a complementary role.
Al-Rimawi pointed out that the two institutions are constantly seeking to promote and consolidate their strategic partnership in mutually beneficial ways and for the benefit of Palestinians. They are adapting their policies and hiring new talents to create vital opportunities and develop quality financial services that meet the needs and requirements of the public and adapt to digital requirements and technological development.
The Assistant General Manager of PIB for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Rami Taha, the Director of the Human Capital Department, Wafa Odeh, and the Director of the Marketing and Public Relations Department, Ibrahim Salman, participated in the meeting. From Tamkeen, the Assistant General Manager for Technical Affairs, Simon Shehadeh, and the Director of the Finance Department, Omar Hussein, also took part in the meeting.
