Palestine Islamic Bank launches its new campaign for savings accounts: “Tawfeer Kareem”

Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) launched a new campaign for savings accounts for 2023, “Tawfeer Kareem”, as part of its efforts to promote a culture of saving in society and motivate customers to open savings accounts or grow their existing accounts by offering a unique package of grand cash prizes and instant gifts.

The campaign will be on until the end of 2023 and will include a draw every 3 months for a prize of 250,000 shekels, and a draw for a prize of 500,000 shekels at the end of the year, in addition to special instant gifts.

All existing and new customers can participate by opening a savings account with a value of $100 or more or its equivalent in other currencies. Every additional deposit of $100 or its equivalent in other currencies gives the customer an additional opportunity to win. Customers also get an instant gift when they open a savings account of $300 or more or its equivalent in other currencies, or upon the first deposit of $300 or more or its equivalent in other currencies in an existing savings account.

The General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said that the bank is constantly striving to launch new campaigns, programs and products that meet the aspirations of its customers.

He added: "After the success and popularity of the "Savings 22" campaign in 2022, and as part of our constant endeavor to encourage a culture of saving, we are launching today the "Tawfeer Kareem" campaign. The name of the campaign reflects the grand prizes and special instant gifts it will include.

Al-Sadi indicated that promoting a culture of saving helps community members to save their money safely and make profit. This is consistent with the principles of Islamic Sharia. He noted that cash prizes will help winners in achieving their dreams of buying a house or car or opening their own business.

Al-Sadi explained that PIB’s digital channels will allow customers to participate in the campaign at any time and anywhere, as they can open a savings account in their existing account by reaching out to the digital call center. Customers who already have a savings account can transfer money to it from their other accounts through services like Islami Online and Islami Mobile.

Al-Sadi stressed that this campaign is the beginning of a series of special campaigns and programs that PIB will launch in 2023, to meet the aspirations of different segments in society.

The savings account allows the customer to get a return based on their average daily balance. They can benefit from all banking services provided by PIB according to the terms of each service and may win one of the cash prizes in the campaign.
