PIB participates in SIBOS 2022 Exhibition and Conference
Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) participated in SIBOS 2022, a conference, exhibition, and networking event held in Amsterdam from October 10 to 13, 2022. This annual meeting, organized by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), is a prime event within the global financial sector.
PIB was represented at SIBOS 2022 by Rami Taha, Assistant General Manager for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Adnan Al Khuffash, the Bank’s Trade Operations Unit Manager. The event was also attended by many financial institutions’ leaders, specialists, and experts from around the world. The event tackled many issues, namely global financial stability, financial market changes, anti-money laundering, FINTECH, and digital currencies issued by central banks worldwide, among other topics.
During the conference, PIB representatives met with regional and global financial institutions’ leaders. The meetings aimed at discovering new cooperation opportunities and fostering the Bank’s partnerships globally.
In his comment on the Bank’s participation at the conference, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB General Manager, noted that this contribution is aligned with the permanent guidance of the Bank’s Board of Directors in terms of promoting international partnerships through taking part in prominent events of the financial and banking sector, exchanging expertise, and networking with regional and global financial institutions.
Al-Sadi added: “Participating to these global conferences and events keeps us abreast of the latest advances in the banking industry, namely in line with the major and rapidly expanding digitization process to which the Bank attaches utmost importance under its strategic plan. Furthermore, such participation would support the Bank’s efforts seeking to offer the highest-quality banking services to its customers.”
SIBOS annual conference discusses the technical and legislative challenges faced by the banking and financial sector and the most prominent annual events related to banking financial operations.
