PIB organizes volunteering activities for its employees in Khan Yunus

In line with its sustainable social responsibility program, the Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) organized a volunteering event for its employees in the town of Khan Yunus.

The volunteering activities included cleaning part of the town’s beach as part of the bank’s efforts to preserve the environment, with the participation the Rafah Branch Manager Ezzedine Al Kudra, and bank staff in the provinces of Rafah and Khan Yunus, in addition to a delegation from the Khan Yunus Municipality including the Director of the Health and Environment Department Omar Matar, Public Relations Officer Ayman Al Kudra and a number of Municipality Employees.

Volunteering activities also included the honoring of beauty makers in the town of Khan Yunus for their big contribution to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of the town, with the presence of a delegation from the Khan Yunus Municipality.

The General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said that the bank is keen on enhancing a culture of volunteering among its staff given its importance in promoting their sense of belonging to their community and country.

Al-Sadi noted that these volunteering activities are part of a series of such activities undertaken by the bank in different provinces to preserve the environment and enhance partnership with different institutions. He also said that the bank is aiming at becoming a long-term contributor to preserving the environment based on its awareness of challenges facing the environment at the universal level.

It is worth noting that International Finance Magazine granted PIB the 2021 Best Bank award in the field of social responsibility, given its outstanding contributions in this field in line with the global sustainable development goals.
