PIB organizes a volunteering event in Tubas
The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) organized a volunteering event in the town of Tammun in Tubas, in cooperation with the municipality of Tammun, as part of its program for sustainable social responsibility.
The event included planting trees in the town, and painting the sidewalks, with the participation of Tammun Mayor Moaz Bani Odeh, PIB’s Northern Region Manager Khitam Abu Aita, Tubas Branch Manager Rashid Daraghmeh, and bank employees.
This event is part of a series of volunteering activities carried out by PIB in different governorates to protect the environment by increasing green spaces and by carrying out joint activities with various community institutions to this end.
The General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said the bank wanted to effectively contribute to the protection of the environment as part of its role in the implementation of the global sustainable development goals and its awareness of the global challenges facing the environment.
He added: "PIB promotes a culture of volunteering among its employees because it increases their sense of belonging to their community. For this reason, it carries out periodic volunteering activities in different regions of the country."
It is worth noting that International Finance Magazine granted PIB the 2021 Best Bank award in the field of social responsibility, given its outstanding contributions in this field which are in line with the global sustainable development goals.
