Through Tkiyet Haseki Sultan ... Palestine Islamic Bank Contributes to the Provision of Charity Ramadan Iftar Meals to Unprivileged Families in Jerusalem
Last Thursday, Palestine Islamic Bank contributed to the provision of Iftar meals to dozens of unprivileged families in the city of Jerusalem via Tkiyet “Haseki Sultan” at the old city. Such activity took place in the presence of the Director-General of the Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Azzam Al Khatib, and with the participation of a group of Palestine Islamic Bank staff.
The General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, Mr. Bayan Qasem, considered the participation of the Bank staff in preparing Iftar meals and helping in distributing such meals among beneficiary families during the holy month of Ramadan as a part of the Bank’s community contribution, whereas such activity shall strengthen the Bank’s role as a national economic institution.
Moreover, Qasem stressed the Bank’s concern about providing support to our people, particularly in the holy city of Jerusalem, referring to the number of development and relief projects implemented by the Bank during the recent years, as such projects aimed essentially at the creation and development of educational, social and economic environment for the holy city.
Qasem also expressed sincere thanks to the Administration of the Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs for their major effort made in serving the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and in providing support to Palestinians.
In addition to that, Qasem illustrated that this activity is a part of a series of voluntary and charity activities that are implemented by the Bank in all governorates during the holy month, which include voluntary days and a number of charity projects.
