Palestine Islamic Bank Organize a Voluntary Work Day in Hebron
Last Saturday, on the occasion of International Labor Day and in cooperation with “Hebron Rehabilitation Committee”, the staff of Palestine Islamic Bank organized a voluntary work day in the old city of Hebron, the work included; helping with the preparations of meals at “Tikeyet Ibrahim (peace be upon him)” and help with distributing meals, their work also included planting trees and clean the surroundings in land that belong to Islamic Awqaf (General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments).
The voluntary work day also included a designed path inside the old city aimed at better understanding of the harassments that old city inhabitants face by the Israeli occupation, in addition to a special lecture presented by “Hebron Rehabilitation Committee” about the history of the old city, it needs and risks it faces.
This day comes as part of a full volunteering program that has been prepared and approved in order to enhance the presence and participation of the bank in different communities all over the country, it also aims to enhance the attachments off the bank and its staff to local community and local organizations and foster a culture of volunteering among PIB staff.
Doha Al Wazany; Palestine Islamic Bank’s public relations manager said “Palestine Islamic Bank has prepared and equipped volunteering plans covering all governorates, especially neglected religious archaeological sites, which is part of “Masarat Baladi” initiative, through which, the bank aims to preserve these site and grow the presence in”.
Al Wazany added “there will be several activities designed specially for Ramadan which includes; organizing group Iftars for elderly homes, in addition to organizing volunteering activities in meals preparations and distribution to orphans and families in needs”, Al Wazany considered these activities stems from the moral commitment to the direction of society, especially those in need.
The general director of “Hebron Rehabilitation Committee” extended his thanks to Palestine Islamic Bank represented by its management and staff for their continuous contributions in the city of Hebron and in all sectors, affirming that hebron rehabilitation committee has a close relationship with the Palestine Islamic Bank and is pleased to participate in this day , with the hope of further cooperation in the future.
