PIB and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Discuss Joint Cooperation

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Ramallah, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB’s General Manager, and Dr. Amjad Barham, Minister of Education and Higher Education, discussed means to promote cooperation in support of education.

Barham welcomed PIB’s General Manager and accompanying guests. He underlined the importance of fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors in favor of education, one of the main pillars for comprehensive development.

Al-Sadi congratulated Barham on his assignment. He noted that he is confident that the appointment of an esteemed figure to office shall contribute to enhancing education and overcoming major challenges amidst the dire conditions in the country.

During the meeting, Al-Sadi reiterated PIB’s commitment to cooperate with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Such collaboration stems from previous achievements in various aspects, namely in supporting educational and scientific research establishments.

Al-Sadi stated: “PIB attaches utmost attention to supporting the education sector. Hence, it focuses, mainly through its Social Responsibility Program, on offering annual support to dozens of schools. Such support encompassed renovation and rehabilitation works, provision of educational devices and tools, and scientific research support through the PIB Award for Scientific Research.”

He also stressed upon the importance of integration among multiple sectors and institutions, thus contributing to enabling the educational sector and encouraging its rise. Furthermore, he applauded the efforts of the Ministry toward the achievement of this objective.

The meeting was held in the presence of Basri Saleh and Nafea Assaf, Deputy Ministers of the Ministry, and Sadeq Al-Khudoor, the Ministry’s spokesperson. It was also attended by Hatem Erainat, PIB’s Assistant General Manager for Banking Operations, and Ibrahim Salman, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
