Palestine Islamic Bank and Al-Istiqlal University discuss enhancing joint cooperation

The General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB), Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, and the President of Al-Istiqlal University, Prof. Dr. Noureddine Abu Al-Rub, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation, during a visit by a delegation from the Bank to the university.

During the meeting, Al-Sadi stressed the bank's keenness to strengthen its relations with the higher education sector and its various institutions in several fields, stressing the importance of this in promoting sustainable development efforts.

Al-Sadi also stressed his pride in Al-Istiqlal University as a national scientific institution, stressing PIB's keenness to strengthen the bilateral relationship and prepare for any cooperation and joint future initiatives that contribute to supporting science and to meet the needs of PIB's customers, including university students, its faculty and administrative staff, in advanced Islamic banking services.

Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Rub welcomed PIB’s delegation, stressing the importance of strengthening joint cooperation mechanisms with the public and private sectors, and discussing aspects of bilateral partnership through the implementation of mutual interactive initiatives and activities. Such initiatives consolidate the relationship between the educational system and the banking sector based on the university's mission and its belief in complementarity of roles as the basic building block to support the process of development and construction and move forward towards the development, appreciating the efforts made by their teams to serve citizens and facilitate their transactions.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant General Manager of PIB for Banking Operations, Hatem Arinat and the Director of the Jericho Branch, Salameh Zbeidat, from PIB’s side. As for the University’s side, the Vice President for Military Affairs, Brigadier General Zaher Sabah, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Ali Ayaida, the Assistant President for Public and International Relations and Media, Dr. Iyad Masoud, and the Assistant Academic Vice President, Dr. Ziad Sharqawi, attended the meeting.
