PIB participates in the World Cleanup Day campaign in Hebron
The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) participated in the activities of the World Cleanup Day campaign in Hebron. PIB employees volunteered in the south, to organize and clean the archaeological site "Beer Haram al-Rama".
The volunteering event was launched with the participation of PIB’s Director of the South District, Nizar Bali, branch and office managers, and employees, as well as representatives of many local institutions, particularly the municipality and the governorate.
Commenting on PIB’s volunteering work to protect the environment, PIB General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said that the Bank’s family is always the first to help in serving the country and society. He noted that this event was part of PIB’s efforts to protect archaeological sites that are part of the national identity and protect the environment. PIB is also supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and it is aware of the challenges facing the environment worldwide.
Al-Sadi added: "We thank all the colleagues, men and women, who participated in this event. It reflects their sense of belonging to their homeland and their constant effort to portray Palestinian citizens in a good light: protecting the environment and Palestinian heritage."
Al-Sadi indicated that since the beginning of 2022, PIB employees have participated in dozens of volunteering events in various governorates, as part of their plan to promote a culture of volunteering among the employees.
It is worth noting that PIB received the 2021 Best Bank award for social responsibility by the International Finance Magazine, due to its outstanding contributions in this field in line with the SDGs.
