PIB launches new state-of-the-art ATMs
As part of its strategy for digital transformation and to provide the latest banking services to its customers, the Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) launched new ATMs, considered the latest in Palestine. The new state-of-the-art ATMs were designed according to the latest international specifications and included features that were specifically designed for PIB.
PIB Director General, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, said that this project comes within the framework of the bank’s plan for digital transformation, which aims to enable customers to enjoy banking services quickly, easily and around the clock. It also strengthens the bank’s electronic channels and expands the service package offered through it by keeping pace with the latest development and technologies in this aspect of banking worldwide.
Al-Sadi added: "The advantages provided by the new ATMs will enhance the high-end banking experience of our customers, as they ensure speed and efficiency and contain technologies that facilitate access to customers’ accounts, such as contactless technology that allows the use of the ATM by simply swiping the card without the need to insert it into the machine. It also contains a high-resolution screen that uses high-precision touch technology. In addition, these ATMs will meet the future needs of customers from ATM services that the bank is constantly striving to develop.
Al-Sadi also indicated that, in addition to launching new ATMs, the bank worked to develop its current network of ATMs in order to raise its efficiency and the quality of services provided through it. The bank has been working on enhancing its ATM network whereby the number of ATMs is expected to exceed … within the current year, spread throughout Palestine. This effort is in line with the financial inclusion strategy approved by the Palestinian Monetary Authority and the Capital Market Authority and improves access to PIB’s banking services in an efficient manner.
Al-Sadi confirmed that these modern ATMs are an addition to a series of recent achievements of PIB in the field of digital transformation, as it has worked to add a distinguished packages of new digital services to the digital call center, in addition to launching the Islami Talk service and enhancing electronic payment and payment services through many local partnerships. Many internal processes have been automated and a new electronic archiving system has been implemented.
Al-Sadi also said: "These achievements included the completion of an important part of the new banking system - which will enable PIB to provide high-quality services to customers and shareholders through a flexible and advanced digital environment capable of keeping pace with rapid developments - in addition to the launch of the new credit cards, World Mastercard and the first Platinum Mastercard of its kind in Palestine, which will contribute to customers further opting for electronic payment solutions.”
The mission and vision of PIB revolve around providing comprehensive high quality and modern banking solutions, following the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws, and investment within an advanced technological perspective. It also sets a deliberate strategy to proceed with the digital transformation process, which resulted in launching pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital contact center, Islami Online, and Islami Mobile, which offer a distinctive package of banking services through an easy and secure environment that enhances the digital experience for its individual and corporate customers. PIB has also recently won "The Best Islamic Bank Award" and " The Best Digital Bank Award" in Palestine for the year 2021, according to International Business Magazine (INTLBM).
