PIB holds its First Annual Directors Conference

Under the title of “Palestine Islamic Bank… between Reality and Hope”

Palestine Islamic Bank held its first annual directors conference under the title of “Palestine Islamic Bank… between Reality and Hope” with the participation of PIB General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, GM’s Assistants, Districts managers and Directors of PIB departments, Units, Branches and Offices.

The conference was held in Jericho and through Microsoft Teams in Gaza and recommended moving forward with the Bank’s digital transformation plan. Other recommendations included developing banking operations and services provided by the bank by improving their efficiency and providing a unique banking experience to PIB customers allowing them to enjoy banking services swiftly and easily around the clock.

The conference included a special presentation on new electronic payment products that the bank is planning to launch early next year. Three sessions were held in total with several participants from the bank’s leadership to tackle a number of issues related to PIB’s operations and future plans such as its digital transformation strategy, the efficiency and quality of PIB operations and services, and challenges and characteristics of the local market and the banking sector in Palestine.

PIB General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi stated, “The conference comes as an introduction to the bank’s 2022 plan to establish our strategic framework and action plan for the years to come. The conference presented a clear vision that will contribute to the development of the bank’s operations and services and to overcome different challenges through discussions and sessions that covered a number of topics and provided practical solutions. In fact, the conference resulted in a number of recommendations that will be translated into an action plan with a clear timeline”.

Al-Sadi added: “the conference also comes as a conclusion to the bank’s achievements in 2021 and confirms PIB’s success in overcoming several challenges thanks to the proactive plans of the Board of Directors and their efficient implementation at all levels of the Bank. The Sharia Supervisory Board also played a key role in identifying practical solutions in line with Islamic Sharia principles”.

Al-Sadi confirmed that this conference further enhances PIB’s efforts to develop its performance and implement its diverse plans. Finally, Al-Saadi expressed his heartfelt thanks to the PIB family members for their professional work, sense of belonging and commitment to the institution.
