PIB supports 5 organizations for people with special needs

The Palestine Islamic Bank provided support to five organizations for people with special needs in several governorates, as part of its program for sustainable social responsibility.

In Hebron, the Bank supported Al-Amal Society for Deaf Children in its programs to assist children with hearing impairment starting from the early stage all the way to secondary school or vocational training. PIB also contributed to the rehabilitation of the Learning Disabilities Center Hall in the Happy Homes Society, given the Center’s role in providing treatment services for those with learning disabilities in the governorate.

In Jenin, PIB contributed to the efforts of the Blind Rehabilitation and Care Society in providing services to the visually impaired and meeting their different needs. PIB also supported Rawan Association for Child Development in Ramallah, specialized in assisting children with ADHD and learning difficulties in light of the Association’s key role in providing care and treatment to this targeted category.

In Khan Yunis, PIB supported the General Union of People with Disability, which serves more than 2,500 people in and around the city, to further pursue its work.

The General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, reiterated the Bank’s commitment towards people with special needs, as part of its annual program for sustainable social responsibility, by supporting organizations that provide them with the necessary care and ensure their integration in society and the respect of their full rights.

Al-Sadi added: "In addition to the support PIB provides to these organizations, the Bank ensures its operations, services, and facilities are aligned with their needs. In fact, PIB was the first to introduce sign language for banking transactions and offer withdrawal and deposit vouchers in Braille."

The mission and vision of PIB revolve around providing comprehensive high quality and modern banking solutions, following the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws, and investment within an advanced technological perspective. It also sets a deliberate strategy to proceed with the digital transformation process, which resulted in launching pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital contact center, Islami Online, and Islami Mobile, which offer a distinctive package of banking services through an easy and secure environment that enhances the digital experience for its individual and corporate customers. PIB has also recently won "The Best Islamic Bank Award" and " The Best Digital Bank Award" in Palestine for the year 2021, according to International Business Magazine (INTLBM).
