PIB and An-Najah National University look for ways to promote joint cooperation

Dr. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, received a delegation from Palestine Islamic Bank headed by Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, General Manager of the Bank. The visit aimed to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between both sides so as to serve the educational process, achieve integration of roles between the banking and academic sectors, and support developing and building efforts.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zaid welcomed the guest delegation by praising the complementary relationship between the educational system and the Palestinian banking sector through the benefits and facilities it provides to educational institutions, specifically students and employees. Dr. Zaid thanked the management of Palestine Islamic Bank for its continuous efforts in providing comprehensive banking services and moving forward in meeting the financial needs of all segments of Palestinian society.

In turn, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi stressed that Palestine Islamic Bank has always sought to strengthen its relations in different fields with the higher education sector and its various institutions, seeing its importance in supporting development efforts in which the higher education sector constitutes a vital and essential part.

Al-Sadi also expressed his pride in An-Najah National University and its successive achievements at the local and global levels, as well as its commitment to the best standards in the field of higher education, scientific research, and digital transformation. Al-Sadi also noted the Bank's efforts to advance the scientific research process, through its scientific research award launched this year in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The award aims to motivate researchers to increase their research production and produce original research that adds new value to knowledge.

The mission and vision of PIB revolve around providing comprehensive high quality and modern banking solutions, in accordance with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws and investment within an advanced technological perspective. It also sets a deliberate strategy to proceed with the digital transformation process, which resulted in launching pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital contact center, Islami Online and Islami Mobile, which offer a distinctive package of banking services through an easy and secure environment that enhances the digital experience for its individual and corporate customers.

This meeting stems from the University's continuous keenness to strengthen relations with civil society institutions, in line with its vision and strategy regarding opening prospects for joint cooperation to serve the University and its students.

The guest delegation included Mr. Asem Masri, Assistant General Manager for Planning and Development, Mr. Zayed Shqair, Assistant General Manager for Branches, Ms. Khitam Abu Aita, Director of the Northern District, and Mr. Bashar Al Sharif, Director of the Corporate Relations Center in the Northern District. The guest delegation was received by Mr. Rashid Al-Kakhin, Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Khaled Al-Husseini, Director of Public Relations at the University.
