Palestine Islamic Bank Supports al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron

Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) supported al-Ahli Hospital of Patient’s Friends Society in Hebron, as part of its efforts to support the health sector within the framework of its sustainable social responsibility program.

The purpose of the Bank’s support is to purchase mobile devices for measuring vital signs for patients, which would enhance the hospital’s capabilities and provide the best health services.

BIP’s South District Manager, Nizar Bali, visited the hospital and met the head of the Administrative Committee, Mrs. Huda Abdul-Nabi al-Natsheh, in the presence of Dr. Youssef al-Takruri, the General Manager of al-Ahli Hospital, and Ms. Hanan Qanam, PIB’s Branch Manager at Ras al-Joura. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed work progress in the hospital and discussed ways to enhance cooperation.

PIB General Manager Mr. Imad al-Sadi stated that the Bank attaches great importance to support the health sector in Palestine, as a vital and essential sector for achieving sustainable development. He pointed out that the Bank has provided support to dozens of health institutions throughout the Palestinian governorates since the beginning of this year to enhance their capacities and capabilities.

Al-Sadi praised the efforts made by the PFSH since its establishment in 1976, as well as the achievements it has accomplished in terms of introducing, creating and developing many basic and secondary medical services in the Hebron Governorate, calling for concerted efforts by all parties to advance the health sector.

On her part, al-Natsheh appreciated the support provided by the Bank to the hospital as well the health sector throughout Palestine, especially under the difficult health conditions imposed by the Corona pandemic, which posed significant challenges to the health sector.

PIB devotes most of its social responsibility program to supporting health and education sectors as vital and essential parts of global Sustainable Development Goals, which forms the general framework for the Bank’s social responsibility policy.
