The “Palestine Islamic Bank” Signs an e-payment Agreement with Nablus Municipality

The Palestine Islamic Bank has signed an e-payment services agreement with Nablus municipality, through which individuals benefiting from the water services provided by the Municipality will be able to pay their bills using the electronic channels provided by the Bank.

The Agreement was signed by the General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, Mr. Bayan Qasem, and the Mayor of Nablus, Eng. Adly Yaish. The signing of the Agreement was attended by the member of the Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Board, Dr. Ali Al Sartawi, and a number of department managers, regional managers, and branch managers from both institutions.

Mr. Bayan Qasem, the General Manager of the Palestine Islamic Bank said “our strategic partnership with Nablus Municipality is culminated today by including the e-payment services for water invoices in Nablus Municipality to the bundle of electronic services provided by the Bank”, stressing on the depth of the relationship between the Bank and the Municipality.

Mr. Qasem stated that the e-services offered by the Palestine Islamic Bank are rapidly growing in order to fulfill the growing needs of the clients, and to keep pace with the constant modern developments in the technology sector. E-services can be accesses through the Bank’s website, the mobile application and through the social media. He also mentioned that the purpose of the ongoing developments and upgrades implemented by the Bank’s staff on these channels is to guarantee that the Bank’s clients have an excellent banking experience.

Furthermore, Mr. Qasem pointed out that the e-payment services Agreement signed with Nablus Municipality was preceded with numerous agreements signed with other national companies and institutions that provide services directly to citizens, revealing that the Bank is working on signing more agreement in the near future.

Mr. Qasem commended the huge efforts that Nablus Municipality exerts in its care for the City and in providing its services to the resident of Nablus in a manner that fulfills their needs, stressing the fact that the integration between the Municipality’s efforts and the efforts of all other national organizations is the best way towards building a strong country.

On his part, the Mayor of Nablus, Eng. Adly Yaish, praised the efforts of Palestine Islamic Bank in developing the Palestinian economy and in its exceptional expansion in Nablus governorate, calling for more cooperation and coordination that aim at realizing the best interest of the citizens.
