Palestine Islamic Bank is the Silver Sponsor of the Conference Titled: “Trade and Electronic Marketing in Palestine”

Palestine Islamic Bank granted its silver sponsorship to the activities of the conference “Trade and Electronic Marketing in Palestine, Reality and Prospects” which was organized by Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry and took place on Monday, March 26th.

This is the third edition of the conference, and it was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Sabri Sidem; Minister of Education and Higher Education and in partnership with the Ministry of National Economy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Justice and the Palestinian Monetary Authority in addition to the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Palestine Polytechnic University and the Palestinian Businessmen Forum.

Bayan Qasem, General Manager of the Palestine Islamic Bank said that the rapid technical development we are witnessing obligates the economical community to study these developments and their impact on the nature of business and its development, in order to guarantee that the Palestinian merchant would obtain the greatest benefit possible of this knowledge.

Qasem pointed that during the past two years, Palestine Islamic Bank have presented a full electronic services package that included: launching the online banking service “Islami Online” in a new and enhanced version, in addition to launching “Islami Mobile” App which allows the clients to manage their accounts easily anytime and anywhere through their smartphones.

He also spoke about launching the new banking service “Islami Auto” which is the first service of its kind among Palestinian banks in general, a service that allows clients to manage their accounts effectively and confidently while they use their Facebook accounts.

Qasem also added that part of the bank’s attempts to keep up with technological development included its recent quest to purchase a modern and sophisticated banking system that will facilitate customer transactions that also include a full membership of MasterCard International, which will enable it to issue Islamic credit cards more efficiently.

He noted that the bank is currently working on expanding its ATM network which by now include 65 ATMs that many of them offer the cash deposit service, which allows the clients to deposit their money and cover their financial commitments anytime and easily, adding that at an early stage, PIB joined the service of the unified national key 194 which would allow all bank clients in Palestine to benefit from ATMs that enroll in this service.

He concluded by stressing that Palestine Islamic Bank strategic plan supports the role of technology through the Bank's various operations in order to provide a suitable service that meets the needs and expectations of clients.
