PIB Strengthens Academic Partnerships with Diamond Sponsorship of An-Najah University 7th Peer-Reviewed Scientific Conference
Under the diamond sponsorship of Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB), the 7th peer-reviewed scientific conference of the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University was held under the theme: "Building Sustainable Economies: Knowledge, Innovation, and Digitalization in the MENA Region."
The conference opened in the presence of H.E. Minister of National Economy Mohammad Al-Amour, President of An-Najah National University Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Zaid, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, PIB Assistant General Manager for Branches Zayed Shqair, Director of the North District Majid Kharoub, in addition to several branch managers from Nablus, representatives from public and private institutions, and a large gathering of academics and researchers who participated in the scientific panel discussions.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, expressed the bank’s pride in sponsoring the conference, given the significance of its topics and the valuable scientific outcomes expected from it.
Al-Sadi stated: “We are always keen to be active partners in scientific events and conferences, as part of our commitment to our social responsibility. All sectors must work together to improve the Palestinian reality and achieve sustainable development.”
He noted that the conference panels addressed a number of important topics, particularly the central role of digitalization, knowledge, and innovation in building sustainable economies. The discussions also covered how public and private sectors can benefit from emerging technologies to drive innovation and development, as well as the role of digital marketing and innovation in enhancing customer engagement, and the effects of digital transformation and remote work on the labor market.
PIB Assistant General Manager for Branches Zayed Shqair, participated in the second panel titled “Leading Sustainable Development in Palestine: The Role of Public Policy, Governance, Collaboration, and Information,” where he emphasized the key role of the Palestinian banking sector in achieving sustainable development. He also highlighted the variety of Islamic financing solutions offered to small, medium, and micro enterprises, and noted the significant progress Islamic banks have made in digital transformation in recent years.
In parallel with the conference, PIB staff at the bank’s booth showcased the latest in digital Islamic banking services and products to attendees and university students, highlighting how they align with customer needs and aspirations.
