PIB organizes a series of urgent relief interventions to help our people in the Northern West Bank as part of its "Let us Come Together" campaign
Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) performed a series of urgent relief interventions to help our people in the northern governorates of the West Bank, as part of its relief campaign "Let Us Come together".
The support efforts, which covered the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas and Nablus, were provided in partnership with official institutions in those governorates and a number of other active organizations. The relief interventions provided food baskets containing essential foodstuffs for the holy month of Ramadan. The Bank’s employees also participated in the distribution process.
PIB also provided support to the "Labbaik Ya Jenin" Fund, which aims to help displaced families in the Jenin governorate and assist them amid the difficult circumstances they are experiencing.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, General Manager of PIB, said that providing support to our people and strengthening their resilience amid the difficult circumstances they are enduring is a national and humanitarian duty, consistent with the bank's values, objectives and social responsibility policy.
Al-Sadi added: "Under the constant guidance and follow-up of the Board of Directors and its Social Responsibility Committee, we at PIB are committed to being among the first to extend a helping hand to our people, whether through urgent relief interventions or through sustainable projects, carried out in partnership with numerous organizations acting in various governorates of the country. The support provided today is part of a series of interventions that the bank will perform in the coming future, as part of its sustainable social responsibility plan for the year 2025."
Al-Sadi stressed the need for concerted efforts from all sectors and institutions to provide all the necessary needs for families who have been displaced from their homes in the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates as well as other families who need support in other governorates in light of the difficult economic conditions. This effort should be made to enable the families to live in conditions that preserve their dignity and provide them with basic needs.
PIB’s Sustainable Social Responsibility Policy attaches the utmost importance to the Bank’s contribution to development. It also stresses upon assuming an active role in serving the community, ensuring our People’s relief, enhancing their quality of life, and fostering their resilience amidst their difficult living conditions, in line with the global sustainable development goals.
