Palestine Islamic Bank Launches an Electronic Platform for Training and Recruitment
Palestine Islamic Bank has launched a new modern electronic platform to receive applications for training and hiring, its considered to be the first Bank in Palestine that design and launch its own platform dedicated for recruitment and as efficient as any other international recruitment website, PIB recruitment platform has been developed and launched by a group of qualified professionals in the Bank.
Mr. Bayan Qasem; General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank said that the recruitment platform aims to target qualified competencies in the Palestinian market, which can help provide a decent upscale banking services to clients, affirming the importance of the recruiting and hiring aspect within the administrative process and the overall development of the bank, in a way that serves the national economy.
Qasem asserted that this platform comes in harmony with the strategy followed by the bank which aims to automate all the internal procedures inside the bank, including recruitment and it’s considered to be a qualitative achievement added to a series of achievements of Palestine Islamic Bank in its reliance on technology. He added: “The platform was designed and executed internally by our software and product development department, along with the IT department, in cooperation with the Human Resources department”, pointing to the bank’s policy which is based on adoption of technology in the development of many of its services and products, such as electronic banking services, "Islamic Online" and "Islamic Mobile" and "Islamic Auto" and others.
He pointed that in the context of the Bank's interest in human resources, it recently conducted an inclusive update on the Human Resources Department system, which in its turn has developed a modern human resources management system that includes various operations from job designing, recruitment of qualified staff that includes the procedures of selection , training and evaluation processes.
He noted that the recruitment platform is not only limited in its use for job seekers or job applicants at the bank, it extends this role to include facilitating receiving and training of students in all facilities of the Bank, considering this step to be one the most important modern steps that can ease the procedures for people who are interested in working or training at the bank, it can also reduce the pressure on the relevant department and regulates the process significantly, adding that this automation can reduce 70% of this burden off the shoulders of staff.
It’s worth mentioning that the recruitment platform for Palestine Islamic Bank is available in both English and Arabic and can be accessed through the official website of the bank, it allows the subscribers to create their own profile and edit it anytime, it also allows the subscribers to apply for a training or a job and view the jobs that have been applied for and the status of the application either it was rejected or approved.
The platform sends text messages and email to subscribers if they were accepted for an exam or interview or if they got selected for the job, and a text message of apology is sent to all applicants who have not been selected.
The platform enjoys a strong data system that allows the applicant to perform any job based on the data provided according to the criteria and conditions that must be met by the applicant and which the department determines for the job, whether it is identical to the job offered to him or not.
