Palestine Islamic Bank launches its new World Elite Mastercard®
Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) has launched its new World Elite Mastercard® credit card, the first of its kind in the Islamic banking market in Palestine.
The World Elite® card enables PIB customers to enjoy the highest levels of luxury while traveling and shopping around the world. It also provides them with a credit limit that allows them to purchase goods, rent services and shop online with the option of installment payments over various periods according to the customer's preference or cash payments, all in compliance with Shariah principles.
PIB General Manager, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, said that the launch of the World Elite® card aligns with the bank's vision and mission to provide innovative and high-quality banking solutions, ensuring excellence in the financial industry and meeting the aspirations of its customers. He noted that the card is a valuable addition to the bank’s exclusive range of premium cards and is part of a strategic partnership between the bank and Mastercard.
Al-Sadi added: "The card’s features— in terms of facilitating payments and installment options or offering travel and shopping benefits, access to airport lounges, hotel reservations, and more worldwide services - make it an ideal choice for our customers who seek this level of luxury and lifestyle benefits."
He emphasized that the launch of this card, along with other recent digital payment solutions, is in line with the bank’s digital transformation strategy, approved by the Board of Directors. He also highlighted that Islamic banks are making significant progress in digital transformation while maintaining their commitment to Shariah principles.
PIB is driven by a mission to deliver modern, secure banking and investment solutions that adhere to Islamic Sharia principles. Backed by a robust cybersecurity framework, the bank is advancing a carefully crafted digital transformation strategy—culminating in the rollout of cutting-edge digital services that ensure the highest standards of customer data protection.
